Student Poster Contest

The Environmental Federation of Oklahoma is excited to announce that we are accepting student abstracts for the 34th EFO Annual Meeting and Trade Show.  The top three abstracts will move onto the poster contest. Undergraduate and graduate students in the natural sciences, environmental, health and safety, engineering and law degree programs at an Oklahoma university are invited to submit their abstract.  Graduate students must have completed their degree between May 2024 to May 2025 to be eligible.

 Abstract Topics
Abstracts must be a data-based research project located in Oklahoma and be relevant to one of the following areas: 

• Air quality protection
• Water quality protection
• Land protection – either solid or hazardous waste, Brownfields, spill mitigation, above ground storage tanks
• Natural (i.e., biological overseen by the US Fish and Wildlife) and cultural resources protection
• Corporation Commission Pipeline safety, oversize / overweight transportation modes, loading racks, underground storage tanks
• Health and Safety
• Engineering – environmental aspect
• Legal – environmental aspect

Prizes
One of three prizes will be awarded to the abstracts selected for the poster contest:  

• 1st Place:  $2000
• 2nd Place:  $1000
• 3rd Place:  $500
